Love is a pretty word. A nice idea like utopia and happiness.
What is love really? Is it something that we find in Titanic? Maybe Romeo and Juliet. Personally, I hated both.
I assume all of you have heard the quote, “Love conquers all.”?
Does it really?
What if you were to fall in love with a person who is already married? Would love conquer the previous marriage?
What if you fell in love with a family member? A sister, brother, cousin, aunt, uncle… The list can go on and on. Does love beat the so-called moral standards of society?
What if you fell in love with someone of a different social class? You see it all the time in movies. Like Cinderella. A commoner and a royal. Do things like that really happen? In real life, wouldn’t the king and queen force the crowned prince or princess with a person of their same status or higher?
Here’s the reality of it. Love does not conquer all. Humans just like to think that.
Is it really better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all?
I don’t believe it is.
Would you really be able to stand it if the “love of your life” left you for another person? Would you be able to stand it if society was the one to tear you two apart? That society didn’t accept you as a couple and forced you two to separate?
Does “love” make everything you have to suffer okay?
Can love comfort you when you’re alone and broken?
Is love really worth it?
That, is a very interesting post. THAT, got me thinking…(This is Sarah, BTW…)
Lily speaking: That was very interesting. Very insightful. I hope that one day we all will find our supposedly, ‘one true love’…
It’s all a LIE!!! Wahh! (cries pitifully) I personally agree with you and I guess that’s why I’m a writter that does those dangerous pairings such as sister/brother.
I’d like to believe that love conquers all. I came to visit because I actually READ your profile at ff.n and I’m glad I did. This wasa thinker and made you realize a few things about love. Great job.
